Growing up poor in the city of Hartford Ct, Johnnie Coles was presented with many opportunities to succeed; including a college prep school education.

Unfortunately drug abuse led him down a totally different path. A path filled with disappointments and heartaches. Years of failed attempts at getting clean, and the road ending with a 9 year prison sentence.

However this time turned out to be a blessing in disguise. It was a turning point that gave Johnnie a different mindset, to prove that FAILURE WAS NOT AN OPTION. This journey took him from a past of hopelessness to a journey of hope and inspiration.

After 5 tough and emotional years in prison, Johnnie made parole and was released to a halfway house. With 2 jobs and a bicycle, he managed to save $10,000 in 9 months and never looked back. Today, with over 20 years clean, Johnnie is always excited to speak, mentor, and motivate at the local rehab and anywhere else that he can. He also makes certain empowerment is part of business agenda for the employees of his 2 thriving businesses,

a successful mobile detailing company with 5 vans, a tree and home serving company.

Johnnie continues to delight and evolve as a entrepreneur and now as a motivational speaker. Johnnie’s mission is to continue to uplift, motivate, inspire, and help others find their purpose against obstacles and roadblocks that will stop their journey and to overcome and succeed.
